Fall Ball

Our Fall Ball season is smaller and more informal than the Spring season. During Fall Ball, players develop their skills in a fun and relaxed environment to stay sharp, improve and prepare for the following Spring season. Fall Ball is now open to all players, not just returning Spring players.

Fall Ball typically runs from early September though early November and includes teams at the AA, AAA and Majors levels. New for 2025: This year we’re bringing back Intermediate and Juniors Fall Ball, too! Fall Ball offerings each year depend on available coaches and field resources.

Here’s how Fall Ball is structured:

  • Pre-season: A few weeks of practices and informal scrimmages to start so the coaches can focus on skills development in a non-competitive environment. Players will have one midweek practice and then one combined practice/informal scrimmage game on the weekends.
  • Regular season: A short regular season where teams will continue to practice once a week and play one game on the weekends.
  • End-of-Season Mini-tournament: Each division will hold a short single-elimination tournament to end the season.

Divisions:

  • AA Fall Ball is for players league-age 8-10 who played Farm B or AA in the Spring and want to work on the fundamentals of competitive baseball – basically, players with 0-1 seasons of kid-pitch already. AA Fall Ball will be exclusively kid-pitch and will play with the rules of AA.
  • AAA Fall Ball is for players league-age 9-11 who played AA or AAA in the Spring – players with 1-2 seasons of kid-pitch already. AAA Fall Ball will be kid-pitch and will play with the rules of AAA.
  • Majors Fall Ball is for players league-age 10-12 who played AAA or Majors in the Spring – basically, players with 2-4 seasons of kid-pitch already. Majors Fall Ball will be kid-pitch and will play with the rules of Majors.
  • Intermediate Fall Ball is for players league-age 11-13 who played Majors or Intermediate in the Spring. Intermediate Fall Ball will play with the rules of Intermediates which includes kid-pitch from 50 feet and 70 feet between bases (bigger than little league diamond / smaller than big league diamond) and 7-inning games.
  • Juniors Fall Ball is for players league-age 12-14 who played Intermediate or Juniors in the Spring. Juniors Fall Ball will play with the rules of Juniors which includes kid-pitch on a big league diamond that is the same dimensions as middle school, high school, college and MLB ball fields (pitching from 60.6 feet and 90 feet between bases) and 7-inning games.

Important notes:

  • Fall Ball teams will be formed by coordinators and coaches, not by tryouts and draft.
  • Please note that playing in a particular Fall Ball division does NOT guarantee that you’ll be drafted into that same division for the subsequent Spring season.
  • We have a limited number of spots and Fall Ball usually fills up quickly – if you’re not already on our mailing list, sign up here to be informed when registration opens (typically in July).
