2008 DIVISION-2 ALLSTARS
Dateline 7/24: The amazing run ends for the NOLL/SOLL Seniors. Altho they advanced to the Division2 championship game, a second loss to a deserving Eastern Little League squad finally eliminated the Cardinals. Congrats to everyone, and best of luck to Eastern in the Western Regional.

Dateline 7/23: Oakland, minus a coach and a few key players, was eager to get back on the field after their first loss of the AllStar season. They played their first elimination game vs Section 3's Niles-Centerville and after giving up a quick 3 runs in the first, settled down and pounded out a 13-7 win. The win earns them a berth in the Division 2 championship series vs the host Eastern, a rematch of the Div2 winner's bracket finals which Eastern won 9-8 despite a furious comeback by Oakland. Oakland will have to win both Thu and Fri (both games at 7pm, link to directions below) to advance.

Dateline 7/20: The Seniors AllStar team advances to Divisional play (the third Juniors or Seniors team to advance this far in 4 years). The Division-2 Tournament is made up of the final 6 Seniors teams in all of Northern California, and the winner advances to the Western Region.

The 2008 Division-2 tournament is being hosted by District 5 at beautiful American River College (field directions here) where they will be playing at Beaver Field

2008 DISTRICT-4 ALLSTARS
Dateline 7/11: SOLL 9-10s were eliminated last night in Alameda by Lafayette. Like their NOLL brethren, SOLL went undefeated against teams not named Lafayette. Their loss closes the book on NOLL and SOLL in District 4. We came away with 1 banner (Seniors), 1 runnerup finish (SOLL Juniors) and several fantastic experiences. The final combined district record was 27-16; every team finished with a .500 or better record and every team but one survived their first elimination game. Most importantly, the players made new friends, they got to travel to new fields and play in new scenarios, and they comported themselves with class and pride at fields and restaurants across the District.

The NOLL Jrs travelled to Albany and closed out their continuance against East County, but couldn't find their rhythm until the 7th against Pinole Hercules and were eliminated 3-2. Also surviving, the NOLL 9-10s.

The SOLL Juniors earned a berth in the D4 championship, where they must beat host Albany twice.

Dateline 7/9: The Seniors swept their way to the District 4 title. They will host the Section 1 tournament starting this weekend. Both 9-10s advanced with offensive fireworks (17-13 and 13-10). SOLL Juniors fell in the D4 championship, congrats to Albany. Also falling in elimination play - both Majors squads.

Dateline 7/10: The two phenomenal 9-10 teams both were in action, with SOLL advancing on a 2-out bottom of the 6th hit by Andre Nnebe. NOLL was eliminated by Lafayette, who has turned into the Oakland-Killer. So far the 9-10s combined record is 8-3, and all 3 losses have come at the hands of Lafayette.
