Dateline 6/23/10: The Diamondbacks began the season as one of 39 regular season Juniors teams in 13 leagues across District 4. Coaches Brent, Bill and Jean left the draft room with a large 13 man roster; a mix of returners and draftees, a couple kids in HS and a couple in 7th grade. Last night, all 13 were on hand, fighting sprained wrists, hurt ankles and trips to Disneyland. And all 13 contributed to the biggest win of the season in the biggest game of the season... and they will now be referred to forever as the District 4 2010 TOC Champion Diamondbacks

Congrats to all the NOLL and SOLL teams for their successes in making it to the TOC, and for the way they handled themselves at fields near and far during the District 4 tournaments!
Combined Oakland TOC teams: (10-6)
Dateline 6/16: Both Majors squads record TOC victories, with the A's blanking Lafayette on the road, and the Orioles mounting a furious comeback from a 4-run deficit to topple Clayton Valley. The AA teams split, with the SOLL Crawfords beating a game East County squad at a neutral site.
Dateline 6/17: Two NOLL/SOLL teams split on the road tonight, with the AAA Desert Dogs dropping a close one and the Juniors DBacks winning convincingly.
Dateline 6/18: The Crawfords dream season came to an end at the hands of a powerful Lafayette team tonight. Congrats!
Dateline 6/19: Saturdays in June mean 11am starts for TOC, and apparently 11am baseball agrees with NOLL/SOLL! 4 of 5 teams in action Sat advanced. Both Majors squads advanced to the semifinals, with the NOLL A's halfway down their 4-games at 4-fields path to the banner. The Juniors teams followed suit, advancing to their respective semifinals. There are 4 games to be played Mon and Tue, but it is possible that we'll see two NOLL vs SOLL finals on Wed. Also in action, the AAA Scorpions (who advanced to TOC with a magical postseason after a 3-10 regular season) finally bowed out against a powerful Albany squad.
Dateline 6/21: After an offday, both Majors teams were back in TOC semifinal action, but both fell a few runs short. The A's fell to Concord American 10-4 and the Orioles lost to Albany 9-6. The Juniors teams are both in action Tue (including the Padres at Caldecott)
Dateline 6/22: The Juniors teams both were in tight down-to-the-wire games tonight. Both teams were chasing 2 runs in the bottom of the 7th. The Padres loaded the bases with 2 outs before falling to the Walnut Creek Phillies. The DBacks also loaded the bases with 2 outs before birthday boy CaseyB laced a 3-run game winning triple to right. The DBacks play for the TOC banner on Wed at 6pm in Albany!
