DIVISION 2 ALLSTARS Dateline 7/29:The Section 1 champion Oakland Seniors AllStars ran out of steam tonight, dropping a 7-4 tilt to (Dist14 Sec3) Niles Centerville in the elimination final. Oakland finished 3rd in all of Northern California and finished with a 6-3 cumulative record.

Dateline 7/25: Oakland's Seniors team continues its AllStar run at the Division2 tournament in Stockton with a 3-1 extra innings win over District 11, Section 4 Champ Rocklin. Dateline 7/26: Seniors is still playing AllStars! Sunday night they beat (Dist8, Sec6) Morada to advance to the Division 2 winner's bracket finals vs (Dist12, Sec5) Almaden.

SECTION 1 ALLSTARS NOLL/SOLL and AlbanyLL co-hosted the Section 1 Juniors tournament. Section 1 comprises the following 5 Little League Districts (2009 champions listed): D3 North Bay, San Francisco thru Novato (Mill Valley) D4 East Bay, from Alameda thru Brentwood (SOLL) D35 North of D3, Petaluma thru Fort Bragg (Sebastopol) D53 East of D35, Napa and Sonoma (Benicia) D64 North of D4, across the delta to Sacramento (Davis)
Games hosted by NOLL/SOLL were played at Bishop O'Dowd HS. Games hosted by AlbanyLL were played at Memorial Park.

Dateline 7/23:Congrats to Section 1 Seniors champ Oakland who completed a 2 game sweep of Benicia in the Championship round. After spotting Benicia a 7-0 lead, Grayson Nuti took over on the hill and settled the Oakland defense so that the bats could take over. Oakland moves on to the Division 2 tournament in Stockton.

Dateline 7/19: The SOLL Juniors faced off with a strong Benicia team. The first few innings were punch and counter punch, with the score 4-4 after 5. Connor Smith on the mound was fantastic, and he benefitted from great defense by Kyle Kelly, Dominic Miroglio, Devin King, Jake Hubert and Alejandro Wlassowsky. The victory puts SOLL into the winner's bracket finals vs 1-0 Mill Valley, to be played Monday night in Albany. Also advancing in Sectionals, Seniors behind the stalwart pitching of Matte Cornell. Dateline 7/20: The SOLL Juniors were dealt their first loss as Mill Valley scored 3 runs in the top of the 7th. Seniors also lost, setting up 2 elimination games on Tuesday! Dateline 7/21:The District champ SOLL Juniors fell to Benicia tonight at Albany. Kudos to Dane Vande Guchte who gave a tremendous pitching performance. Come out and watch Benicia and Mill Valley at Bishop O'Dowd Wed and Thu (if nec) as they compete for the Section 1 banner. Oakland Seniors had a thrilling victory, eliminating Petaluma and earning a berth in the championship round vs Benicia. They play in Petaluma Wed and Thu (if nec).

Dateline 7/15: SOLL Juniors sweeps to the District 4 title with an 8-0 victory over Clayton Valley at Albany. Connor Smith faced the minimum 18 batters over 6 innings using just 81 pitches, and Alejandro Wlassowsky contributed a HR, 3 runs scored and 3 RBI.

Dateline 7/11:NOLL Majors' run ends with a loss to Lafayette. SOLL 11s also go down to Alameda. Dateline 7/10:Like the 12s last night, the 11s faced each other in the elimination bracket and SOLL won going away to advance to the elimination final Saturday morning at Concord American. The NOLL Majors team, still riding the good vibes of their win over SOLL, beat Continental 2-1 in a pitchers' duel - it was NOLL Majors' 3rd win in the elimination bracket. The SOLL Juniors shattered some feelings as they snuck past a great Pinole Hercules team to advance to the winner's final on Monday in Albany. Dateline 7/9: The 12s faced each other with NOLL opening a lead and hanging on for the 11-10 win. The 11s each beat an Albany team and now they will face each other in the elimination bracket. The NOLL Juniors fought valiantly, but fell 13-12 to homestanding Walnut Creek. Dateline 7/8: A mixed bag this evening. The 11s split, SOLL dropping to the elim bracket and NOLL advancing within it. The NOLL Juniors stay alive over Lafayette. The NOLL 12s remembered to pack their bats, posting 26 after being shut out in their first game. They advance and will face SOLL next in the elimination bracket. Dateline 7/7: A rough day for NOLL/SOLL. The final 9-10s were eliminated; SOLL Majors loses and is slotted to face the winner of NOLL and East County on Thu. NOLL Juniors lost despite holding ConcAm to 3 hits, and SOLL Juniors beat Continental. Wed we are hosting Juniors (Continental vs East County) at Caldecott and 11s (NOLL vs Antioch) at Chabot. These are the last District games we are hosting (altho Juniors Sectionals is still out there in late July!) Dateline 7/6: After a holiday weekend off, AllStars is back! NOLL 9-10s fall into the elimination bracket; NOLL 11s would be playing an elimination game, but they win by forfeit; Majors NOLL loses their first game, but Majors SOLL wins their opener, as do the NOLL Juniors. Tue we are hosting Juniors (SOLL vs Continental) at Caldecott and 11s (Walnut Creek vs Antioch) at Chabot. Dateline 7/2: SOLL 11s advance to the winner's semis on 7/8. They'll have a chance to avenge the NOLL 11s loss to Lafayette. In other action Thu night, the NOLL 9-10 #1 and SOLL 9-10 #2 stumbled in the elimination bracket and were eliminated. Dateline 7/1: NOLL/SOLL 11s open with 2 victories. SOLL gives the home crowd a treat with a 10-0 win; NOLL overcame a 3-0 deficit to eek out a 4-3 nailbiter over Clayton Valley. Both play again tomorrow. Also in action, the NOLL 9-10 Grey team advanced to 3-0 and a berth in the D4 winner's bracket semis! Dateline 6/30: SOLL 9-10s both played tonight; SOLL Blue got their bats rolling and Thursday they will look to avenge the elimination of SOLL Grey by Pinole Hercules. Dateline 6/29: NOLL#2 9-10s kept the bats hot, posting 18 runs in their win. The other 3 9-10 teams come up short and move to the elimination bracket with their next games on 6/30 or 7/2. Dateline 6/27: NOLL/SOLL 2009 AllStars kicks off with 3 of our 4 9-10 teams opening play. All 3 earned wins - 2 in spectacular fashion - and advance to face their hosts on 6/29
