2005 TOURNAMENT OF CHAMPIONS
North and South TOC Teams
6/25/05 - The District 4 Champion NOLL Reds take the Juniors TOC Banner with a 13-6 win over the Albany Mission Reds. The Reds were powered by an 11-run 5th inning. The District 4 Runners up Royals fall one win short of the Majors TOC championship, losing 7-2 to the Alameda Pirates.

The Royals, Reds and all the other TOC teams compiled a winning composite record (9-5), with 4 of 6 teams winning at least one game. Most importantly, they represented NOLL/SOLL with fabulous field decorum in both wins and losses - congrats to all 6 TOC teams!

Combined Oakland TOC Teams:(7-4)

6/18 - AAA bows out after round one, with the Rainiers losing a back and forth battle and the River Cats putting up the good fight for 12 innings spread over two days. Juniors goes 1-0, with SOLL having a host-bye. Majors wins 2, setting up a NOLL vs SOLL showdown 6/20 at Chabot.

6/20/05 - The Juniors teams both win good games, with the Reds in East County 5-1 and the Pels at Caldecott 12-6. Both games were closer than the scores indicate. The Majors Angels and Royals clash at Chabot, and this one was as close as the score, with the Royals edging the Angels 7-4.

6/22/05 - The NOLL Reds advance to the championship game with a 4-3 win over Concord American, while the Pelicans fall to Albany 6-3. The Majors Royals eliminate Antioch West 12-2 to advance to their title game vs perennial powerhouse Alameda. Both the Royals and Reds will be hosting their championship games Sat morninig at Chabot and Caldecott.
