Celebrating 30 Years

TRYOUTS ARE COMPLETE
Minors and Majors tryouts were held Sat Jan 14th and Sun Jan 22nd. Thanks to all the coaches who made things happen both days, including some creative scheduling in the rain on Sun. Thanks also to the volunteers who racked up early hours by checking kids in and out.

What's next?

Teams are drafted - Majors first (1/26), then AAA (1/31), then AA (2/2). Once you are drafted, you will be contacted by your coach and teams will begin practicing within a week. Teams will also host a team meeting to handle introductions, volunteer assignments, etc.

Note - There is no guarantee that your child will be drafted into a specific division. If you have a 9yr old, there is no guarantee that he or she will be drafted by a AA team; if you have a 10yr old, there is no guarantee that he or she will be drafted by a AAA team. This is not a reflection of your child's skill, but rather a reflection of the relative skill of other players trying out in the same division. 8s and 9s who are not drafted into AA will be placed on a FarmB team.

There are no refunds once team formation happens.

2012 REGISTRATION NEARLY OVER!
Competitive baseball (AA thru AAA, ages 8-12) is already closed. We will accept registrations for TBall and Farm (ages 5-9) thru January. Juniors (ages 13-14) will accept players until their tryouts (end of Feb).

Age Groups
Click here for a description of our different age groups. Simply put - kids start at TBall, work thru the Farm divisions (coach pitch) and then thru the Competitive (kid pitch) divisions. TBall and the Farm divisions are purely recreational and teams are formed primarily by school. Competitive divisions are formed via tryouts and draft, and NOLL and SOLL are kept separate by rule.

Cost
Cost is roughly $200 per child. Exact cost differs from division to division, and there are late fees for registering after December. Siblings receive a discount.

Scholarships
We offer scholarships to families in need. If you want to request a full or partial scholarship, please send an email to info@nollsoll.com and we will explain the process.

Season
The division explanation chart explains the season - basically the season lasts from February thru May with midweek practices and weekend games.

Mandatory Parent Meetings
All families will be required to attend a mandatory parent meeting again this year. We will have multiple nights covering the important information for families with kids in TBall/Farm and the Competitive divisions.

Tryouts
The competitive divisions will have tryouts in mid/late January (Juniors in late February). We will contact you in late December.

Team Formation and Season Start
Competitive teams are formed by draft shortly after tryouts; TBall and Farm teams are formed in late January. Practices start immediately after team formation; games start ~3 weeks after team formation.

Volunteering
NOLL/SOLL is a completely self-run enterprise, and baseball doesn't happen without your active support. All teams are expected to provide a variety of volunteers. Last year's Volunteer Points was a success, and we are making changes to the jobs, the points earned, the reporting and the target levels to make it a smoother process.

Fundraising
In addition to volunteering, teams are expected to participate in a small amount of fundraising. The target is $1000 per team, which can be raised by any means. Family contributions, corporate sponsorship, community tabling, bake sales, etc. NOLL/SOLL will provide structure to help teams achieve this goal!
